Al Amanah Islamic Investment Bank of the Philippines Board of Directors have designated Mr. Jose Luis Vera as its new acting chairman & chief executive officer, replacing Mr. Enrique D. Bautista. Director Vera heads one of the country’s leading property developers, Vernida Realty Development Corporation. He is also responsible for building up one of the biggest radio groups in the country, as he is president of five radio companies- Quest Broadcasting, Advanced Media Broadcasting System, Real Radio Network, Raven Broadcasting Corporation, and Blockbuster Broadcasting System. He was a director of the Home Mutual Development Fund and was in the board of directors of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (1999-2003) and Philippine National Construction Corporation (1998-2001). He attended the Ateneo De Manila University College of Law and placed 18th in the 1992 Bar examinations. He also has a degree in Business, Major in Finance from the University of San Francisco. Joining Chairman Vera in the board of Amanah Islamic Bank are Jose A. Nunez, Jr. as vice chairman, and Francisco F. Del Rosario, Jr., Ibrahim Mamao, and Abdul Hadjisalam as directors. |
